Corwith library director enjoys helping others

CORWITH – Courtney Fish is the new library director for the Corwith Public Library. She was hired for the position in July. She suceeds Beth DeGroote and long-time library director Kathy Olthoff.

“I am doing a service for my community and that is a great feeling,” she stated.

The daughter of Pamela Reibsamen and Timothy Reibsamen, Courtney is a graduate of Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne High School. She was trained as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Iowa Lakes Community College.

Courtney’s varied work experience includes working as a CNA at the Kanawha Community Home for 5 years and at the Algona Manor. She still fills in at the Kanawha nursing home as needed.

She was an employee at the can redemption center and served as a cashier at HyVee at Algona. She waitressed at Sister Sara’s Restaurant and most recently was cashier/gas attendant at the Classic Stop in Wesley.

She heard about in the library job at Corwith from a fellow employee and applied the next day.

“I was looking for something different,” Fish said. “I have always worked with the public in some form through all my previous jobs.
