            The Cardinals are fire-red hot.

As of writing this article, the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura baseball team has won seven games in a row and aren’t showing signs of stopping as they steam roll their way towards Districts.

GHV this week defeated North Butler on the road 3-0, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on the road 20-7, North Union 5-2 at home and North Iowa 19-10 on the road.

The team has shown its defensive prowess in its close matchup

On June 25, the Cards grinded out the 3-0 win scoring in the first inning alone.

The team recorded seven hits in the game.

Landon Dalbeck and Ryan Meyers had two hits.

Dalbeck hit a homerun as well.

Anthony Sherwood on the mound threw five strikes.

The boys also faced a tough task of playing North Union on Wednesday.

Ryan Meyers showed why he’s one of the best in the conference again with a 12 strikeout performance and only giving up four hits and zero earned runs.
