Hancock County Fair 2019 sees returning grandstand acts

The Hancock County District Fair readies for another installment on Monday.

With each year, there’s always new attractions that come to the fairgrounds located south of Britt.

Though the Grandstand this year will not feature any major changes, almost each night features some additions.

Returning this year is the IMCA Dirt Knight and the Outlaw Tractor/Truck Pull to start off the week.

The tractor and truck pull event brings a fifth additional category.

The Thursday musical act will be the band 1V Play, pronounced four play.

The band returns for their second year at the fair with hopes to seeing a larger crowd after establishing themselves the year before.

“When something’s new, [people] are a little bit hesitant to go,” fair board president Andy Bruggeman said.

The fair hopes that word of mouth from those who saw the multi-genre-spanning act will bring in more spectators.

Friday, as usual, will feature the stock car races.

On Saturday, the grandstand will feature the All Out Destruction derby.
