West Hancock baseball goes 2-1 in tight games

          The West Hancock baseball team squared up to three teams this week.

            Each match was decided within three runs, with the Eagles coming out on top in two of the three games.

            On May 28, West Hancock would host Lake Mills, sending them home with a 5-2 defeat.

            North Iowa also came to visit on Wednesday and would taste defeat just the same, losing to the Eagles 7-4.

            On Friday, West Hancock took their only loss of the week.

            They traveled to West Fork and fell one run short in an 8-9 loss.

            West Hancock shot to a quick start on May 28, scoring three runs in the first inning and scoring two more times in the fifth and the sixth inning.

            Cole Wood put up three hits.

            Lucas Weiland had two hits, scored a run of his own and batted in a run.
