West Hancock girls track shows well in home opener


            The West Hancock girls track team started their season in front of a home crowd.

            The annual Sanger Co-ed Relays was held on April 1.

            The Eagles would take second place in the meet with 117 team points.

            The Eagles performed well in a number of events.

            Jade Oberhelman ran a 13.97 time in the 100-meter dash.

            Rachel Leerar took first in the high jump with a 4-2.00 height, Leah Aitchison followed  in second place with a 4-0 jump.

            In shot put, Amanda Chizek took top spot throwing for 33-11.

            Madison Eisenman was right up there with Chizek, taking second place with a 32-11.5.

            The 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams both accomplished second place, their times being 56.47 and 2:02.97 respectively.
