The second-ranked West Hancock girls basketball team traveled to Emmetsburg, North Iowa and Forest City.

They remain undefeated after the three matches.

The Eagles defeated Emmetsburg on Dec. 10 by a score of 49-28.

The next night, the girls pulled away from North Iowa in an 87-28 romp.

Rachel Leerar scored 28 points against the Bison that game.

The team capped off it’s difficult stretch with a key win against Forest City on the road.

Coach Paul Sonius sees his team sitting in a good place, but still sees them playing to a higher level.

Sonius looks at the games this season where they’ve already traveled to difficult places such as Lake Mills, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, Emmetsburg and Forest City and sees the great work his defense has done.

“We’re getting in their face,” he said.
