West Hancock had its work cut out for them on Dec. 20.

days before the wrestlers could splurge on Christmas dinner and gain those two pounds for the new year, they had to walk into Lake Mills and face the Bulldogs, Northwood-Kensett and Belmond-Klemme.

West Hancock defeated NK and BK 53-21 and 61-15, respectively, but Lake Mills on their home turf proved just a bit too much despite showing up to compete.

            The Eagles lost 21-46.

The dual started with a 145 matchup between Dalton Subject and LM’s Caiden Jones.

A critical escape and take down in the first period was ultimately what propelled Subject to a 5-2 decision.

The West Hancock fans in attendance erupted in joy.
